It is now being widely reported that the Governor and Legislature have reached consensus on the adult use cannabis bill. This new comprehensive legislation permits New York to assume its leadership role in the legalized cannabis marketplace. It is built on years of drafting and policy debate, and it is a critical first step toward our new cannabis economy.
The NYCCIA and HVCIA continue to lead critical research into and industry dialogue about best practices, social and economic equity and justice, and public health and safety.
